World Day of Prayer 2026

​Be part of a wave of prayer that begins on the international date line, in Samoa, and ends back there at night.  Early in the morning, Christian women will begin praying for our world.  As the earth rotates, a great wave of prayer begins to build, sweeping across the Pacific,  across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Atlantic, the Americas, and the Pacific again.  When the sun sets over American Samoa, a final service takes place, completing the circle of prayer.

The World Day of Prayer is an international, women-led, ecumenical movement.  Each year a different country develops the prayer service and the art.  This year it is from the women of Nigeria.

The prayer service is a worship for men, women and young people and helps raise awareness of the lives and concerns of others throughout the world, especially those who write the service.
